Frequently Asked Questions
Announcement Request Form
Last Updated: July 7, 2006
Q: Where can I get the PDF viewer?
A: You can download the Adobe PDF
reader from the Adobe wesite. This link
will take you there. We do not suggest downloading the toolbar or the Adobe
Album, just unclick these two items and continue.
Q: Why can't I save what I've typed?
A: This is one of the draw backs
to using a pdf. Without the full version (Adobe Standard or Proffesional) you
cannot save the date you have typed. You can however print the pdf file, or
e-mail it, in order to get it to the webmaster. As always make sure your version
of Adobe Reader is fully updated.
Q: How do I e-mail the PDF?
A: When you press the e-mail button
the reader looks for the default mail client on your machine. If your e-mail
client is a desktop e-mail application (Outlook, Eudora, etc...) it will save
the information from the pdf in an XML format and add it as an attachement to
a message. All you then must do is send it.
However, if you are using an HTTP E-mail client (Hotmail, Gmail, etc...) then the reader will export the things you typed into an XML file (it will ask you to save this file to a location). Simply attach this file to an e-mail and send it to the webmaster.
Q: If I do not want to e-mail the announcement
form, what else can I do?
A: There are two options beyond
e-mail. The first is to type the event information out, then print the file
(you can use the button at the bottom of the form.) The other option is to take
a form from the back of the church and fill it out with a pen or pencil.
Once the form is filled out please turn it into the office so w can process it and add it to the e-mail and website.
Q: Do I need to fill everything out?
A: It would be nice if you did.
The secondary contact information is not required, but we do ask that you fill
everything else out.
Q: Are you going to put my information on the
internet?
A: Yes. If you do not with us
to do so, please make a note and we will keep that information private. If you
do not wish for people to contact you at home, do not add your home phone number
to the sheet (or let us know not to publish that.)
